Horse Riding - There is an excellent established riding school located in the village of Zervata, 4km south of Sami.
Hiking - Around the Erissos Peninsula, an undeveloped nature reserve, with meandering coastal pathways through oak forests, wheat fields and vineyards carpeted with wild strawberries and flowers.
Sea Kayaking - Discover the beauty of the seascapes around the island on a sea-kayak, with one of the many tours available.

Kefalonia is an island of dramatic mountains, thickly forested hillsides, pale golden beaches and a cobalt coloured sea. Covered by pine forest and carpeted with wild sage, oregano, thyme and rosemary, the entire island is surrounded by fantastic shorelines that sweep down from secret coves with white pebbles in the north to golden sands in the south. Ruggero has an excellent location perched above Emblisi beach whilst being walking distance to
the beach itself, a bakery, café and Fiscardo. Fiscardo is a picturesque and beautiful Greek harbour village on the Northern tip of Kefalonia with an impressive range of cafes, restaurants, shops and is rich in history ranging from Roman remains to the well preserved Venetian buildings still in use today.
