Villa Farida - Cala d´Or Area

Wir waren schon zum zweiten Mal in diesem Haus und können es nur empfehlen.

Stayed at villa farida for two weeks with family.. perfect position as close to town and marina.... nice and quiet location although some work happening opposite but didn’t bother us ... great pool area , lounge , bedrooms, kitchen and bathrooms all great ... little tired in places but great value for the location... would stay again 😊

This villa was exceptional. It had every facility needed. Bedrooms very comfy and the master bedroom with en-suite was amazing. A very happy and homely feel to the villa. We were met at the villa by Ian who was great, and happily answered any questions we had. Brilliant location as a couple of minutes walk to the town and 5 minutes to the marina. Fully equipped kitchen and the pool area was brilliant, along with the ping pong table (great fun) I really don't want to say anything negative about this place but I have to say I was very disappointed that in 10 days we had no cleaner, no fresh bed linen and no clean towels. Ian apologised to us when we left and said he would report it. Apart from that, we would definitely stay again.

We had a nice stay at Villa Farida. There were a few little things which need some improvement, but overall the house was clean and in a very good location near the center, marina and the bays. The staff was very helpful and came at a regular schedule.

Best Holiday point of contact (Jamie ?) was very good, responsive, amiable. Villa was very well located but was overpriced considering the condition and cleanliness. The kitchen, whilst we did not intend to cook big dinners in, was small, dark, old and very smelly. The amount of utensils and basic essentials likes coffee mugs was very lacking and the crockery and cutlery all needed to be washed before we used them. The water from the kitchen tap was absolutelu boiling and would cause a child a serious injuery. The ensuite bathroom was ok but again, lacked simple things like somehwere to hang a towel or a shelf in the shower cubicle for soap or shampoo. Overall the villa is nice, lovely pool, great location but is poorly maintained and neglected, it would not take alot of money or time to correct all these issues, Compared to many other vilas i have booked, it was overpriced considering the comments above.

Our stay was spoilt by 8 days of constant power cuts. It took Best Holiday Homes 3 days to admit the problem and the following 6 days to rectify it. We where given some compensation but this in no way made up for the problem and continued interruption to our holiday calling Best Holiday Homes who never returned our calls or updated us. The villa is in a great location with a lovely pool and outside area. However the kitchen is outdated, the dishwasher is faulty, coffee machine is broken, gas rings are unsafe, there is no smoke alarm and the main safe is broken.

We had a lovely holiday at Villa Farida in April 2018. The Villa is charming and In a great location for beaches and dining out at the Marina. Unfortunately the pool had not had a chance to heat up yet which meant that one of the key facilities was not available but it was still nice to sit by the pool. The outdoor eating area was nice and made full use of. Inside the bedrooms were nice with air conditioning/ heating in all of them and the showers were great. Bedding and towels were changed mid week which wasn’t expected but a nice addition. The Kitchen had everything required but this is one room that could do with an update - everything felt a bit ‘tired’ in this room. One thing that would have made a difference would have been a welcome pack detailing how to use the facilities and location of best beaches, restaurants and shops and things to see / places to visit in the area.

The villa has an excellent location being just a few minutes walk from the restaurants. There is a train stop at the end of the street and you can walk to lovely beaches in about 10 minutes. If you walk the other way down the street, you come to the marina in about 5 minutes. The great thing was, even though you are very central you are not disturbed by noise. We sat outside every night and it was very peaceful.

The villa itself was clean and tidy but would benefit from a bit of painting and decorating here and there to brighten it up. The kitchen is tiny and outdated but served 5 of us very well when we needed to use it and the fridge was a great size.

We had a bit of an issue with ants in the kitchen and lounge but we removed the rug from the living room, cleaned everywhere with disinfectant and sprayed with pest control and we had no further problem. This can happen in hot countries but once on top of, they are easily controlled and I would not have expected to be having to deal with them from the first day.

The beds were really comfortable but the pillows were not great as they went really flat when you lay on them and really need to be changed for more comfortable ones.

The villa has great wifi (although you do not get it in the double bedroom at the back of the property) and the pool area is lovely.

The man who maintained the pool and garden was lovely and really helpful.

Overall, we would recommend this villa.

Four of us spent two weeks at Villa Farida in September. The villa has a great location, and is in walking distance to all the restaurants etc. The pool and outside area are lovely, as are parts of the inside of the villa. However the twin bedroom is extremely small for a couple, but would be fine for children. Also if you intend to eat in and cook, the kitchen is small. This could be an absolutely fabulous villa with some minor adjustments, but despite it's issues we had a great time and would return - possibly only two at a time, as whoever gets the twin or third bedroom might feel a bit disadvantaged.

Happy with general dealings with Best Holiday Homes. We had one or two problems in our Villa and they were treated with urgency and to our satisfaction. The location of our Villa was excellent.
