Lovely Ibiza Style Villa with Sea Views and Private Pool !
Villa Mar is an authentic Ibiza style villa, with an idyllic location and amazing views to the sea and to the Cala d´Or Marina. The property consists of 2 bedrooms, each with its own private entrance and bathroom en suite. Both bedrooms are not connected from the inside of the house, so it would be ideal for two couples or a small group of friends, wanting to enjoy the holidays together, but still have some private space as well. The kitchen is also in a separate building, very close to both bedrooms and the spacious terrace, with table and chairs, which will be the center and meeting point for delicious meals together in open air. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas stove, fridge/freezer, microwave, Nespresso, washing machine, clothes dryer and all kitchen utilities.
The lush vegetation in the garden provides a Mediterranean atmosphere and is in harmony with the beautiful turquoise colour of the ocean. There is a small private pool (3m x 3m) which will offer a nice refreshment during the many warm and sunny days of your vacation.

In Cala d´Or there´s various sandy coves with crystal clear waters which offer a variety of water sport activities and the Marina is an ideal starting point for a boat trip along the beautiful coast. At 2km there is the Cala d´Or Tennis Club. There's also many activities in and around Portocolom including horse riding, tennis, sailing, diving and sea fishing. For Golf lovers the famous Vall d´Or Golf Course (18 holes) is approximately 15 minutes drive (9 km).

Excellent location in the old part of Cala d´Or and directly by the sea, very close to the centre and the Marina but also very peaceful, with the waves of the sea providing a relaxing sound during the night. The prestigious Marina is just 400 meters away, here you will find the best restaurants of Cala d´Or with national and international cuisine. The beautiful Cala d´Or Beach is located at only 300 meters from the villa. The white church of Cala d´Or is also only 300 meters away and the whole area exudes warmth and charm with beautiful white Ibiza-style houses, charming hotels, surrounded by greenery and pine trees. Santanyi is also definitely worth a visit, a pretty, rural and authentically Mallorcan town with a serene atmosphere, great places to eat and a fantastic twice weekly market (Weds/Sat mornings).

Villa Mar is a pleasant villa with a good position within Cala D'or
However on arrival there was a delay of 3 hours 20 mins to obtain access to one of the bedrooms This was only resolved after 6 visits from cleaners ,house keepers etc
In the kitchen the fridge freezer was rusty
There were no lounge facilities and no English channels on the television
The trees in front of the property have been allowed to dominate obscuring what would have been an excellent view of the sea and marina . Access to the sea via steps as in the properties opposite would have been ideal

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. It is a little unusual in its set up as the 2 bedrooms and kitchen are not joined up but open on to an outside terraced area. The views are stunning and we enjoyed living outside next to the sea. The property was spotless when we arrived but be aware that it is a little rustic in terms of decor, furniture, bathrooms and kitchen equipment. Saying that, we had everything we needed for a lovely holiday. Ian from Best Holiday Homes was a fantastic property manager and helped us with any queries we had.

The location of villa Mar is fantastic - you can hear the sea from your bed. We loved it - as well as we loved the patio and swimming pool. It’s quite and relaxing, we enjoyed our evenings outside having dinner in front of the water. It’s really a special place! The only negative aspect of our staying was the smell of mold in both the bedrooms and the relative low level of cleanliness we found. We were surprised about it - given the fact that the property is exclusive (and not the cheapest). maybe we were unlucky and happened to be the first guests after a while the house was closed but it was really a bad surprised. Betty did everything she could to solve the problem and was really amazing but unfortunately there was nothing much to be done: the smell stayed for a few days. We hope the owner will fix this issue for the coming guests after our suggestion because the house is really fantastic and deserve a better treatment!
